1. Soft Reset (soft reset)
Shut down printer: First, you need to turn off the printer by using its power button.
Remove the power cord from printer: Unplug the power cord of your printer from the electrical outlet and wait for some about 60 seconds.
Replug the power cord: Replug in the power cord and press the button for the printer to go back on.
Check the printer: You can now try printing out a test page to see if the error has indeed disappeared.
2. Factory reset (hard reset)
Here, the printer will restore itself to the default factory settings where all the customized settings and configurations are erased.
Access the menu on the printer: Navigate to the Settings or Setup menu on the printer's control panel.
